Jerald Yvonne Taylor was born on February 15, 1953, in Waxahachie, Texas. She transitioned to eternity with her Lord on January 31, 2021.
Jerald graduated from Lake Highlands High School and went on to attend Paul Quinn College. She worked at Southwestern Bell, and she retired from the United States Postal Service after many years of service.
Among many hobbies, Jerald enjoyed baking, exercising, and traveling. She especially enjoyed cruises and casinos. More than anything, she loved spending time with family and the fellowship of the saints at church events.
Jerald was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park. There, she served on the Adult Usher Board under the leadership of Dr. Gregory Foster.
Affectionately regarded as "JYT", "Ms. Jeri", "Grandma Jeri", "Auntie Jerald", "Jackpot Jeri", and "Aunt Jerrol", Jerald will be fondly remembered for her compassionate, affectionate, active, adventurous, and loving nature. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jerald was predeceased by her mother, LoDell Taylor, and father, Willie Lee Taylor, Sr. Those left to cherish precious memories include her sons, Calvin Taylor and Marcus Taylor; grandchildren, Jada and Calvin II / "Biggie"; brothers, Getral "Bubba" Taylor and Willie "Jr." Taylor; aunt, Dorothy Tatum; her niece, Suzanne Taylor; her nephews: Getral "Trail" Taylor, Leslie Taylor, Willie Taylor III, and Darius Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends.
