Jimmie Lawrence Nolen was born on March 20, 1952, to Robert and Mary Nolen in Waco, Texas. He transitioned peacefully while surrounded by his family on November 11, 2023, in Dallas, Texas.
Known as a hardworking man with few words, Jimmie attended Hamilton Park School before starting a management career at Bike Mart. After several years in the bicycle retail industry, he decided to retire and begin working as a community handyman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Nolen; his mother, Mary Nolen; his brother, Kenneth Nolen; and his wife of 51 years, Wanda (Pearson) Nolen.
Jimmie leaves behind a trail of loving hugs and holiday memories. He is survived by his sons, Patrick Nolen (Shalonda) and Ramon Nolen; his siblings, Harold Nolen and Theresa Lloyd; his grandchildren: Brianna Hobbs (George), Chad Nolen, Breanna Thompson, Aniyah Nolen, Makayla Nolen, and Jaden Nolen; his great-grandchildren: Julius Hobbs, De’Asiah Thompson, and Titan Hobbs; and a host of other relatives and friends.
