JoAnn Fields was born on February 12, 1955, to Anna Lula Brown and Jodie Brown in Plano, Texas. She transitioned to eternity on December 23, 2023, in Richardson, Texas.
Affectionately known as "JoJo", JoAnn graduated from high school in 1974. She worked for Dickey Barbecue, from which she retired in 2000.
JoAnn accepted Christ and was a member of Son of Man Missionary Baptist Church.
Among many hobbies, she loved earrings and purses. She always had one to match her outfit.
JoAnn will be fondly remembered for her affectionate, charismatic, silly, and talkative nature. Her kindness will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Beasley Fields; parents, Anna Lula Brown and Jodie Brown; sisters, Alice Johnson and Billie Ruth Armstrong; brothers, RayArmstrong, Bob Armstrong, and Jodie Ray Brown; and nephews, Danny Kelvin Majors and Dwight Eric Majors.
Those left to cherish precious memories include her children, Darrell Brown and Joice Brown; nieces - Glenda Majors, Ashley Majors, Meagan Majors, Madison Majors, and Breanna Majors; and nephews - Dan Majors II, Dwayne Majors (Belinda), and Greame Majors.
