Joan Grace Pittman

Joan Grace Pittman was born on April 18, 1933, in Wellsville, New York, to George and Mildred Eaton. She transitioned on August 17, 2020, in Rowlett, Texas.

Joan was a faithful member of First Assembly of God Church in Garland, Texas, for many years. She worked for Raytheon and Boeing as an inspector for many years before retiring.  Among many hobbies, Joan enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was also an avid bird watcher. 

Fondly known as “Grand Ma Joan” by her grandchildren, she will be dearly missed for her loving, caring, helpful, smart, and thoughtful nature. 

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mildred Eaton; sister, Judy Eaton; and brother, Jack Eaton. Those left to cherish precious memories include her son, Steve (Jan) Pittman; daughter, Debra (Chester) Johnson; grandchildren: Steve Cone, Lindsay Pittman, Jeremy Pittman, Jeffrey (Cynthia) Pittman, Aubrey (Lewis) Morrison, and Corey (Jessica) Carpenter; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Marlee (Ron) Hawas; brother, Paul Eaton; and sister,  Marna (Dennis) Mitchem.
