Jocquelyn Denise (Kellum) Davis was born in Dallas, Texas, on December 12, 1956. She transitioned on July 31, 2025, in Canton, Texas
Affectionately known as "Jackie," she graduated from Lincoln High School in 1974 and attended Trinity Valley Community College. She went on to pursue a life of purpose and passion through her work and family.
Jocquelyn dedicated five years as a psychiatric nurse’s aide before finding her true calling in the halls of Wills Point Intermediate School. For over 22 years, she proudly served the students and staff of Wills Point ISD as the beloved "Lunch Lady", sharing warm meals, words of encouragement, and her signature wit. She retired in 2020 to lovingly care for her mother.
Jocquelyn was baptized at Greater St. John Primitive Baptist Church and remained grounded in her belief in God. She extended her spirit of service into the community by volunteering with Collective Ministries, where she helped sort and organize food for families in Edgewood, Texas.
On February 11, 1978, Jocquelyn married Harold Davis, her lifelong partner and best friend, after meeting him in 1976. Their love endured until Harold’s passing in 2005.
She will be fondly remembered for her vibrant laugh, her fierce honesty, and the comfort she brought to everyone through her cooking and presence. Jocquelyn was selfless, supportive, and resilient; she was a wise soul with a heart for family and community.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Davis; her mother, Yvonne Kellum; her father, Horace Stephens; her niece, LaTasha Spencer; and her parents-in-law, Ruth and Dewey Polk.
Those left to cherish memories include her children, Andrea Kellum, Benjamin Kellum, and Teshema Dahl (Shawn); her grandchildren - Savion Kellum, Zariah Kellum, Armoni Kellum, Harold Kellum, and Hailey Dahl; her siblings - Robert Kellum, Sharonda Kellum, Karon Kellum, Patrick Kellum, Donna Davis, William Runnels, Ruby Jewel Nichols, Horace Stephens Jr., Greg Brighton, Ronnie Dean, Ronald Kellum, Reginald Kellum, Goldie Faye Runnels, Stanley Runnels, Gaye “Lucas” Jackson, and BettySue Grant; along with a host of cherished sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
