John Patrick Ebey

Born on May 30, 1960, to John Harold Ebey and Mary Evelyn (Clark) Ebey in Dallas, Texas, John Patrick Ebey lived a life marked by dedication, leadership, love, and an appreciation for the people who mattered most. 

For many years, John served as a respected executive in death-care, beginning his pursuit at Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. In 1979, John earned his license and enjoyed a longtime career as a funeral director, later working in pre-need, and eventually managing funeral and cemetery operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, including roles as Director of Operations and Community Relations Director with Stewart Enterprises; Community Outreach Director with Dignity Memorial Funeral Homes; and General Manager with Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Upon retirement, he established Ebey Funeral Consulting and continued to devote himself to serving families with professionalism, compassion, and dignity.

Beyond his career, he knew how to enjoy life. He cherished the 42 years he shared with his beloved spouse, Barry Lambert, and treasured his family and friends. He had a genuine love for good times, laughter, fellowship, and creating memories with the people around him.

He will be remembered for his accomplishments and leadership, especially in the death care industry, making the Ebey/Lambert name memorable and respectable for generations of professionals to come. His presence, friendship, and spirit will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Surrounded by dear friends and family, holding his beloved Barry's hand, he passed from this life on August 22, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, service, friendship, and unforgettable memories.
