It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ken Cayton, who left this world on September 20, 2023. He was born on February 13, 1955, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to John L. Cayton and Judith Fournet Cayton. He passed away at home.
Ken was a 68-year-old network and IT support technician and loving father. His heart was in his work and in seeing his children succeed. He was opinionated and determined. Those who knew him knew he was always working on a scheme to get rich quick, whether that was a new invention or business idea, all in the hopes of passing something on to his children. Many thought he was a pessimist, but he would argue he was a realist. His extended family can be found all around the world, at work, and at the most unexpected places. He leaves behind his two daughters, Shanda Michelle Mints of Frisco, TX, and Titia Marie Green of Dallas, TX. He had six brothers and sisters, Yvonne Gunter, Mark Cayton, Bryan Cayton, Alan Cayton, Patricia Stevenson, and Michelle Duhon. He had 6 grandchildren, Michael Jr, Teesha, Daniel, Destiny, Nathan, and Zoe. He had 5 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Marian, Serenity, Azreal, and baby Kalyssa. He was preceded in death by his parents and some friends and loved ones, including Patty Watson.
Shanda & Titia wish to express their sincere gratitude to all those who have offered support, comfort, and condolences during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated.
For those who plan on attending the viewing, please feel free to dress casual in Ken's honor.
