Jose Luis Bautista Obituary

Jose Luis Bautista was born in Modesto, California on October 6, 1977. He passed away peacefully on September 26, 2023.

Jose was a United States Army veteran who proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged. A graduate of the University of North Texas, he went on to enjoy a career with FedScale for many years where he rediscovered the true meaning of friendship and solidarity as he had in the military.

The dedication he had to his wife and children is admirable beyond measure. He was headstrong, kind, and genuine, and he inspired so many to keep going when they needed a little reassurance. Since Jose was a young child, he had a special love for his SF Giants, Niners, and WWE, which he instilled into his own family. He was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and coach. He was a pillar of strength and love, always putting his family’s needs before his own. His selflessness as a husband, father, and person was a true testament to the extraordinary man he was and his spirit that will live on with us forever.

Coaching his son’s baseball team was something he held close to his heart.  He enjoyed attending his kids' games, traveling, and watching his beloved SF 49ers and SF Giants. Most of all, he loved being around his family and friends.

Jose had the biggest smile and a way of making others laugh. He gave the best advice and instilled in you so much confidence that made you feel like you could achieve anything. Jose loved life and touched so many people during his time here. His life was cut way too short and there are no words to say how much he will be missed.

He will be reunited in heaven with his first German Shepherd dog, Oreo, and his first granddaughter, Valentina.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Erika M. Estrada; his two sons, Joselito Bautista and Carlitos Bautista; his daughter, Eme-Brielle Bautista; his parents, Gloria and Armando Bautista; his siblings and their spouses - Annabelle Bautista, Maryellen and Teodoro Chavez, Marina and Junior Perez, and Raul Bautista, his mother-in-law, Margarita Cuevas; his father-in-law, Juan Estrada; his brothers- and sisters-in-law - Juan and Juana Estrada, Fernando and Sacil Estrada, Maricela Estrada, Cecy Rangel, Miguel Estrada, and Esmeralda Estrada; his nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives, friends, and beloved colleagues; and his German Shepherd dogs - Santos, Sunny, and Max.
