Josephine Lombardi was born to Joseph Lombardi and Beatrice Ramundo Lombardi on June 18, 1941, in Mt. Vernon, New York. She passed away on February 8, 2020, in Mesquite, Texas.
Josephine graduated from A.B. Davis High School in Mt. Vernon. She attended Hunter College where she majored in education. She went on to enjoy an award-winning teaching career that spanned over 30 years.
Josephine enjoyed many hobbies. She loved to dance, and she was known to make up a game. She helped several people become citizens of the United States. Josephine was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Mamoroneck, New York. Most admirably, she was a single mother who raised her girls in New York.
She was a fun, loving, persevering, and amazing person who loved people, loved to travel, and loved music - particularly Motown music. Her favorite song was "Ain't Too Proud to Beg". Josephine will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lenny Lombardi. Those left to cherish precious memories include her daughter, Lauren Lombardi (Darrel); daughter, Celeste Lombardi; grandchildren: Grace Lauren Brown, Sarah Brown and Sophia Brown; sister, Marie Lacera; sister, Carmella Sergiovanni; and a host of other relatives and friends.
