Kathy Nell Parson

Kathy Nell Parson was born on December 14, 1962, to the late Willie Mae Garrett Parson Turner and Peter Parson in Dallas, Texas. She was called home on September 3, 2026, at the age of 63. 

A loving mother to her son, Drake Stone Thomas, Kathy was married to Kenneth Perez of New Orleans for 17 years. The couple resided in Allen, Texas.  

Kathy was a very loving and generous person.  She made those around her laugh and feel special.  She had a giving heart and a God-fearing spirit.  

She loved her nieces, Jenisia, LaTasha (Mercury), Britney (Lincoln), and Monic, along with her nephew, Bobby, and her grand-nephews and grand-niece, Mason, Maveric, Kingston, and Kherrigan. 

Those left to cherish lasting memories include her husband, Kenneth; son, Drake; sister, Sandra Garrett Harvey (Edward); her brother, Rodney Parson (Khristy); and her nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her siblings, Hollis Parson, Sheila Parson, and Gary Parson.

To My Sister: 

Kathy loved God.  She thought about God daily, but that was nothing new.  She thought about God's goodness all through the day.  She thought about praising God in every way.  She thought of God's faithful name each day.  She thought about God when the night came too.  She thought about God in the morning dew.  She thought about God in the storm and rain.  She thought about God in the midst of her pain and called out his name.
