Kenneth Wheeler Wilbert

Kenneth Wheeler Wilbert was born on November 29, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Wesley Wilbert and Amanda Nichols Wilbert. He was lovingly regarded as a son by his late uncle, Marvin Nichols, and was a beloved younger brother to his late brother, Wesley Wade, Jr.

Affectionately known as "Blurt," "Booty," and "Will," Ken was raised in Dallas, Texas, and received his formal education in the Dallas Independent School District, graduating from Bryan Adams High School.

Ken "Booty" Wilbert, 65, was a steady presence in the lives of everyone who knew him, embodying equal parts humor, kindness, and quiet grit. He built his life around family, community, and the belief that showing up for others mattered. Whether he was bringing laughter to those in need of a smile, sharing stories from years gone by, or making time for someone who needed him, he carried himself with warmth, generosity, and reliability.

Throughout the years, Ken pursued the things that made life meaningful to him: work done well, friendships kept close, and cherished traditions celebrated with family and friends, including the annual Fourth of July cookouts at the lake.

He was the kind of person others trusted, patient when explaining, generous when it counted, and honest in both life's major milestones and its everyday moments. He leaves behind a legacy of treasured memories: celebrations hosted at home, helping hands offered without hesitation or recognition, and valuable lessons taught through the way he lived and raised his children.

Though Ken has gone on to be with the Lord, his impact remains. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sabrina; his children, Kalecia (Max) and Wesley; his godchildren, Tonya (John), Lonnie (Amber), and Lamethia; his granddaughter, Eden; his siblings, Sonya, Anthony (Celena), Lamechia (Brent), and Ronnie; his uncle, Billy; his aunt, Jewel; his grandpups, Lulu and Lil’ Boo; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends, and community members who will feel his absence in countless ways.

In the days ahead, those who knew Ken will remember not only who he was, but also how he made others feel: seen, supported, and deeply loved.
