LaTonya Cheryl'e Humphrey peacefully departed this life on November 8, 2024, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the firstborn child of Tonya B. Humphrey and Michael C. Humphrey, entering the world on December 7, 1974, in Fort Worth, Texas, Tarrant County.
From a young age, LaTonya was actively involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. By age seven, she had become a Girl Scout, joined a softball team, and served as a Natural Helper. She also explored her creative passions through ballet, gymnastics, and piano lessons. Latonya completed her education at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Fort Worth, Texas, graduating in 1993.
LaTonya shared a loving relationship with her companion, Marcus Moore, and together they were blessed with two children.
A dedicated professional, Latonya was a longtime employee of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), where she played a crucial role in supporting disaster survivors through relief efforts. She was also a faithful and active member of Hamilton Park United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas, where she served on the welcoming committee as a greeter. Passionate about making a difference, LaTonya devoted herself to giving back to her community and providing essential resources to at-risk families, the homeless, and shelters. Her life of service, kindness, and compassion left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
