Lawrence Cole was born on December 3, 1943, in Daingerfield, Texas, to the parentage of Wornet and Louise (Everett) Cole. He was the 8th of 11 children born through this lovely union.
He attended various public schools and graduated from Hamilton Park High School in Dallas, Texas, where he became a star track and football athlete. It was through these highlights and achievements that he coined the nickname “speed demon”.
