LeRoy Lawrence Marsolek was born on September 17, 1947, in LaPorte, Minnesota. Surrounded by his loving family, he transitioned on March 19, 2022, in Garland, Texas.
LeRoy enlisted in the United States Army in 1963 and honorably discharged in 1967. He later earned a Vocational Technical Degree in Aerospace Engineering in 1976. He enjoyed a longtime career as a Mechanical Designer, most recently at World Waterworks. After many years of dedicated service, LeRoy retired in 2021.
On October 19, 1968, he married the love of his life, Anne German. To their union, three beautiful children were loved and nurtured. The two remained united in holy matrimony until his transition.
Among many hobbies, LeRoy delighted in woodworking, fishing, and hunting. He most enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. LeRoy will be fondly remembered for his generous, hard-working, persistent, and knowledgeable nature. His loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him. ,
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Beatrice Marsolek; parents-in-law, Harold and Doris German; brothers, Carl Marsolek and Alfred Marsolek; and sister-in-law, Helen “Jodie” German. Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife of more than 50 years, Anne Marsolek; children: Paula (CJ) Thurman of Fairview, IL, Clinton (Brooke) Marsolek of Sachse, TX, and Jeremy (Dawn) Marsolek of Garland, TX; grandchildren - Kelsie and Colton Thurman, Brittany and Bradley Marsolek, Londyn and Ashton Childs, Samantha, Alyssa, and Trysten and Jayden Marsolek; great-grandchild, Kai Marsolek; sisters, Christine Davis and Florence Olson; brother, David (Roberta) Marsolek; siblings-in-law, David German, and Stephen German; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
