Lois Marie McClain McClendon, lovingly known as “Tina,” was born on December 25, 1958, in Lufkin, Texas, to Lorena McClain and Lloyd Berryman. She departed this life surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and devotion to family.
Tina graduated from Lufkin High School in 1977. She was a woman of strength and grace who carried herself with dignity and compassion. She loved the Lord and lived her life as a source of encouragement and uplift to those around her. Her nurturing spirit and kind heart made her a pillar of support for her family and friends.
One of Tina’s greatest joys in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and cherished deeply. She found happiness in caring for others and making sure those she loved felt supported and valued.
Tina will be remembered as classy, smart, uplifting, and nurturing—a woman whose faith and love left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorena McClain; her father, Lloyd Berryman; and her beloved son, Tyriel.
Those left to cherish precious memories include her devoted husband, Rick McClendon; her daughters, Nakesha McClain and Miracle Van-Horne; her siblings, Frank McClain, Michael and Linda McClain, Darrell and Rosalind McClain, Sonya Carroll, Darell Jackson, and Lloyd Jackson; and her grandchildren, Jazmine, Jaylon, Carlaysia, Zyian, and Riley. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren who will continue to honor her legacy.
Tina’s love will forever live on in the hearts of her family, in the laughter of her grandchildren, and in the many lives she touched with her kindness. While we will miss her deeply, we find comfort in knowing she is resting in the presence of the Lord. Her life was a testament to faith, love, and perseverance, and her memory will continue to guide and strengthen those who knew and loved her.
