Mrs. Lorna Eugenie Christopher Fraser was born in Tortola, British Virgin Islands on October 20th, 1947 to the late James Adolph Christopher and Edna Smith.
Mrs. Fraser peacefully transitioned this realm on Sunday, December 15th, 2024 in Garland, Texas. She was married to Macaulay Fraser who preceded her in transition. Lorna was the mother of four beautiful children: Denise Fraser-Williams, Dwayne Fraser, Gail Fraser, Lewayne Fraser and grand mother of three grand children: Rachel Fraser, Daniel Fraser and KiJhauna Thomas. Siblings Mirner Ward, Pauline Brathwaite, Glen Smith and Godfrey Smith, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends will share in the fond memories of a cherished soul.
With a passion to educate and foster young minds, Mrs. Fraser became an elementary school teacher under the guidance and tutelage of Mrs. Inez Brathwaite at the Sea Cow’s Bay Primary School in Tortola, BVI.
Mrs. Fraser moved to St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands in the early 70’s with her husband and first two children. Thereafter, she was blessed with two additional offspring.
“Teacher Lorna” as she was affectionately titled, continued as a dedicated educator in the elementary school sector until her retirement in June of 2008. Sister Lorna was a faithful and supportive member of Tutu Church of God Holiness USVI.
A matriarch of strength, resilience, kindness and compassion has impacted the lives of many, and have left a perpetual imprint in her family’s hearts.
