Maria Delta Osorio was born on November 5, 1947, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. She resided in New York from the age of six until she moved to Texas in 2012. A loyal and true New Yorker at heart, Maria transitioned on August 5, 2021, in Plano, Texas.
Affectionately regarded as “Lenny”, Maria graduated from Eastern District in Brooklyn, New York, in 1965. She was a single mother of two daughters and worked her way up from secretary to a self-taught Computer Systems Technician. Maria enjoyed a longtime career with Hertz Corporate Headquarters.
Maria enjoyed binge-watching movies, camping, listening to music, and salsa dancing. She also loved playing cards and partying, and she delighted in cooking, crafting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and traveling.
Maria will be fondly remembered for being adventurous, feisty, and loyal. She was a straight shooter with a loving spirit and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Osorio and Rosalia Ramos Medina; granddaughter, Jaidan; brother, Papo; and nephew, Chris. Those left to cherish precious memories include her daughters, Nordessa Wilson, and Nicole Martin-Dinzey; grandchildren - Yunus, Ronnie Meechie, Lathan, and Zoey; sister, Liz; nieces - Melisha, Jennifer, Monica, Rosie, and Juanique; nephew, Maurice; and a host of other relatives and friends.
