Marie Lantz Obituary

Marie Lantz was born on April 23, 1928 in Blue Earth County, Minnesota. She transitioned on January 13, 2021, in Garland, Texas, at age 92.

Marie graduated from Mapleton High School in Mapleton, Minnesota. She went on to graduate from Minnesota Business College. She served as secretary for a number of companies. Marie also sold Avon and was head chef at a Denver PBS.

Among many hobbies, she enjoyed traveling, loved Oregon, and delighted in living on the coast. Marie is known for her strong, determined, independent, and kind nature. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was predeceased by her parents, Abram and Jennie Van Rossum, and her husband of almost 70 years, Roy Lantz. Those left to cherish fond memories include daughter, Cynthia Wright; two sons, Steven Lantz (Cheryl) and Michael Lantz (Sandra); three sisters: Joie Burglin, Jennie Anderson, and Janet Havig; one brother, Stanley Van Rossum; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
