Marvin Dewey

Marvin Dewey was born on November 14, 1961, in Norco, Louisiana, to Thomas Sr. and Estelle Dewey. Surrounded by his loving family, he transitioned to eternity with his Lord on March 29, 2022, in Dallas, Texas.

Marvin was a member of Mesquite Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Terry M. Turner.

Among many hobbies, Marvin was a New Orleans Saints fan. He enjoyed watching all sports and spending time with his family. Marvin will be fondly remembered for his joyful, bold, caring, and ambitious nature. His loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Estelle Dewey, and brother, Thomas Dewey, Jr. Those left to cherish precious memories include his loving wife, Latorian Bettis Dewey; children – LaKendrion Dewey, Sr., TaSheka Dewy, Cornelius Hines III (CJ), and Ciara Hines; grandchildren – LaKendrion Dewey, Jr., Kendrick Daniels, Jr. Tyreke Simmons, Alezia Henry, and Radarius Henry; siblings – Sandra Dewey Wilson, Cherylette Bennette (Ervin), Angie Dewey, Benjamine Dewey (Janice), and Leonard Dewey;  mother-in-law, Katie Cleveland; father-in-law, Andre Miles; siblings-in-law  –Andra Bettis (Danisha), Sam Evans (Lisa), Courtney Evans, Latasha Wilson (Sam), and Alexis Miles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
