Mary Elizabeth (Rhodes) Price

Mary Elizabeth (Rhodes) Price, 83, beloved mother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026. Mary was born January 27, 1942, in Longview, Texas, to the parentage of Beamon Rhodes and Everita Rhodes Barryer. Mary graduated from Doty High School in McKinney, Texas.

She met and married Joe B. Price of Nacogdoches, Texas, and together they welcomed one daughter, Misty Gail Price. Mary dedicated many years of her professional life working for Texas Instruments, where she was known as a reliable and committed employee; she retired from Unitron in 2019 after many years of dedicated service.

Mary’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved sewing clothes for herself and her loved ones and enjoyed getting immersed in a good book. Her kindness, compassion, and thoughtfulness extended to both her family and everyone she encountered.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joe. B. Price; her mother and father, Beamon Rhodes & Everita Rhodes Barryer; her sister, Lizzie Turner; and her brother, Johnny Rhodes. 

Those left to cherish lasting memories include her daughter, Misty Gail Price; her sisters, Katherine Bell, Carolyn Thomas & Evelyn Dickerson (James); and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Mary Elizabeth (Rhodes) Price will be remembered for a life quietly and beautifully lived - marked by kindness, humility, and unconditional love. Mary’s life was a reflection of her faith; she extended grace and compassion to all she encountered.
