Michael Campbell was born on April 10, 1951, to Joseph Campbell and Doris Hazel Reeves Campbell in Dallas, Texas. He transitioned to eternity on October 3, 2018, in Dallas, Texas, at age 67.
Michael graduated from Hamilton Park, class of 1969. He went on to attend Prairie View A&M University. He enjoyed a longtime career in research and development with Halliburton. After 39 years of service, Michael retired.
Michael married the love of his life, Catherine. To their union, a beautiful daughter was born…Joy, who he referred to as the light of his life. Michael and Catherine remained united until his transition.
Affectionately known as “Bo”, Michael was an athlete; he enjoyed tennis and football. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He also coached soccer.
A man who never met a stranger, Michael will be dearly missed by his loving family, his devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Joseph Campbell, Jr. and David Carl Campbell. Those left to cherish precious memories include his loving wife of 41 years, Catherine; daughter, Joy “Weasel” Campbell; godson, Henry B. Moore, Sr. and his wife, Robynn; god-grandchildren, Henry B. Moore, Jr. and Lauryn Moore; sister, Rosalind Johnson; niece, Tamara Johnson; nephew, David Johnson and his wife, Rhonda; nephew, Ronald Johnson and his wife, Lisa; nephew, Michael Ross; and a host of other relatives and friends.
