Michael Stewart Obituary

Michael Robert Stewart was born on April 21, 1953, in Dallas, Texas. Surrounded by his loving family, he transitioned to eternity with his Lord on November 1, 2020, in Anna, Texas.

Michael graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in 1971 and went on to enlist in the United States Navy from which he received an honorable discharge. Having played the saxophone throughout his childhood, Michael's gift in music earned him a scholarship to the University of North Texas where he played in the Jazz Lab Band. He later attended DeVry Institute where he focused on Electronics Technology. He enjoyed a longtime career as a commercial driver in trucking and worked for various companies, including Latimore Materials. In 2006, Michael retired.

Among many hobbies and interests, Michael was an avid sports fan. He also enjoyed traveling and, of course, music. He was a member of the international brotherhood of Masons and North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship. Michael will be fondly remembered for his selfless, loving, courteous, and persuasive nature. His dedication and charm will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Aaron and Evelyn Fain; parents, Robert Shields and Bevie Stewart Woods; and aunts, Mildred Stewart and Letha Stewart. Those left to cherish precious memories include his wife, Paula Stewart; children: Michael, Shawn, Jeremy, Ernest, Pamela, Jada (his granddaughter who he raised as his very own), Patrick, Cedric, Dorothy, and Angel; aunts, Lanell Stewart and Carrye Stewart; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
