Michelle Archie Obituary

Michelle La'Nee Archie was born on May 29, 1973, and peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 15, 2026. Surrounded by the love of her devoted family and cherished friends, Michelle demonstrated remarkable strength, unwavering faith, and grace until her very last breath.

Michelle was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and treasured friend. She truly never met a stranger. Her radiant smile, joyful spirit, compassionate heart, and genuine kindness made everyone she encountered feel welcomed and loved. Whether offering a word of encouragement, a listening ear, or a helping hand, Michelle left a lasting impression on every life she touched.

Her greatest joy was her relationship with Jesus Christ. Michelle's faith was the foundation of everything she did. She faithfully shared God's Word with others, often sending daily Scriptures to encourage family, friends, and fellow believers. Even during her own courageous battle with cancer, Michelle continued to uplift others with messages of hope and faith, reminding them to trust God in every season of life. She lived her faith through service, volunteering with organizations that cared for the poor and needy and quietly helping friends and family whenever she saw a need. Her life was a beautiful reflection of Christ's love.

Nothing brought Michelle greater joy than her family. On May 20, 2000, Michelle united in marriage with the love of her life and best friend, Derrick Archie. Their marriage was built on faith, unwavering love, and a shared commitment to God and family. Together they were blessed with two wonderful children, Christopher Archie and Danielle Archie, who were the pride and joy of her life. Michelle treasured every moment spent with her family, creating a home filled with love, laughter, encouragement, and God's presence. Her greatest accomplishments were not found in her career, but in the lives she touched and the family she so deeply loved.

Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Park University with double minors in Marketing and Management. She dedicated her professional career to L.A.N., an engineering firm, where she managed office relocations throughout Texas and across the United States. Her exceptional work ethic, creativity, leadership, and attention to detail earned the admiration of colleagues and clients alike. She believed no task was beneath her and approached every responsibility with excellence, humility, and pride.

Those left to cherish precious and lasting memories include her beloved husband, Derrick Archie; her cherished children, Christopher Archie (19) and Danielle Archie (15); her loving mother, Syl Higgins; her loving father, Michael Higgins Sr.; her beloved parents-in-law, Frank and Lutricia Archie; her loving sisters, Tamrice McChristion, Sharnice Owoyemi, and Makayla Higgins; her loving brothers, Maurice Higgins, Orlando Higgins, Michael Higgins Jr., Karl Higgins, Jonathan Higgins, and Korey Simpson; her loving stepmothers, Marcelia Higgins, Amanda Higgins, and Lugenia Higgins; her beloved aunts, Rosalyn Mackey and Elaine Hatcher; and a host of cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Michelle's legacy is one of unwavering faith, selfless service, unconditional love, and joyful generosity. Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we rejoice in knowing that she is resting in the presence of her Savior. Her beautiful spirit, infectious smile, servant's heart, and steadfast faith will continue to inspire everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” - Matthew 25:23
