Morlitha Zwannella Dukuly was born on February 7, 1993, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She unexpectedly passed away on January 12, 2021, in Denton, Texas at the age of 27.
Morlitha received her formal education from Lakeview Centennial High School where she graduated with honors. She matriculated to the University of North Texas and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology in 2017; she later matriculated to Texas Woman’s University where she earned a degree in Music in 2019. As music was her passion, she was in her second semester of completing a Master’s Degree in Music Therapy. Her primary instrument was the flute, and being an avid music lover, she learned to play the piccolo, guitar, and ukulele.
Owing to her love for children, she devoted much time working with them. Her outgoing personality led her to the service industry. When she was not working, she loved watching movies/television, shopping, and crocheting.
She is survived by her parents, Morley Zwanna Dukuly and Brenda Major Dukuly; her sister, Morcelia Dukuly Asiedu and brother-in-law, Philip Asiedu; her grandmother, Elitha Nyekan; her beloved nephew, Ziggy; numerous aunts and uncles; and a host of cousins and friends.
At 10 am on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Abundant Life Church, friends will pay their respect to Morlitha. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11 am for her family. At a later date, Morlitha will be interred at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park in Arizona.
