Nora Lee Hollis was born in Detroit, Alabama, on December 11, 1938. She transitioned to eternity in Farmersville, Texas on October 31, 2024.
Nora earned her GED later in life. She worked at Andrews Corporation for over 20 years and she retired in 1999.
She accepted Christ and remained devoted to her faith throughout her life. For over 55 years, she was a member of Harvey Church of Christ.
More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. She will be fondly remembered for her nice, thoughtful, religious, and helpful nature. Her caring spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gent Hollis and Annie Nell Hollis; sisters, Annie Hollis and Mary Hollis; and brother, Brandon Hollis.
Those left to cherish lasting memories include her four children - Simonne Hollis, James Hollis, Stella Scott-Spotts, and Enid Staggers (Alvin); her grandchildren - Jerad Hollis and Nia Staggers; her sisters and brothers - Betty Hollis, Tracy Hollis, Gloria Keller, Martha Hicks, Walter Hollis, William Hollis, Mildred Parham, and Dixie Amerson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
