Ollie Mae Hardin was born on May 7, 1942, to the late Adam Grant Sr. and Rosa Jackson in Basile, Louisiana. On September 8, 2026, Ollie transitioned to eternity with her Lord and Savior.
Ollie attended and graduated W. W. Stewart School. She went on to enjoy a career in healthcare, caring for others as a CNA for over 35 years. Upon retiring in 2000, Ollie dedicated her time to her family and community.
Ollie trusted Christ as her Lord and remained steadfast in her faith. An ordained minister with roots in Christian Stronghold, Ollie spread her love for Christ throughout the community. As a church mother at Mt. Calvary New Beginning, she served as president of the Shepherd's Care Ministry, was a dedicated teacher in the Women's Ministry, and was a mentor in the young women's organization, Heart 2 Heart. She was also a member of One Community Church.
Affectionately known as "Momo," Ollie married the love of her life, Roy Lee Hardin Sr., on December 27, 1961. Their union was blessed with 13 beautiful children.
Ollie delighted in singing, spending time with her family, and getting her nails done. Her courage, strength, and wise nature will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ollie was preceded in death by her parents, Adam Grant Sr. and Rosa Jackson; her husband, Roy Lee Hardin Sr.; her daughter, Faye Etta Hardin; her son, Whittaker Jarvis Hardin; and her siblings.
Those left to cherish precious memories include her sister, Rosa Brown; her daughters: Phyllis Reese, Emma McGee, Denise French, Ollie Jean Maxie (Authur), Lula Hardin Audindu, Lena Mae Stidom, Christy Hardin, Schnell Foster (Ansel), and Danielle Hardin (Kobie); her sons, Roy Lee Hardin Jr. (Tomiko) and Abraham Lee Hardin; 50 grandchildren; over 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
