Pastor Thomas Edward Reese, Sr.

December 23, 1947 ~ July 29, 2023 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Obituary

Thomas Edward Reese, Sr. was born on December 23, 1947, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, to the parents of Willie James Ina Mae Reese. He transitioned to eternity with his Lord on July 29, 2023, in Garland, Texas.

Thomas entered carpentry at a young age. He became a Master Carpenter and Builder until retirement. Thomas went on to pastor at Mount Calvary New Beginnings Family Church.

On December 23, 2000, Thomas was blessed with another chance to love again and married Phyllis Anita Hardin. The two loved and nurtured 10 children through a blended family and remained united in holy matrimony until his transition.

God ordained Carpenter with a warrior spirit, Thomas delighted in building and creating masterpieces from wood and allowing himself to be used in spiritual warfare to transform the lives of people who needed ministry, deliverance, and restoration. A shepherd's heart. Among many hobbies, Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Above all, he loved studying God's word. His humble, loving, and generous nature will be fondly remembered, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Willie James Reese and Ina Mae (Johnson) Reese; sisters, Dorothy Jean Nora and Christian Reese; son, Julius Gene Reese; first wife, Deborah Ann (Haynes) Reese; maternal grandparents, Edward Thompson and Bessie Mae Johnson; and paternal grandparents, George Boyd and Bertha Reese Boyd.
