Patricia's Journey of Love and Light

Patricia Ann (Stimpson) Neal was born on Wednesday, July 23, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, to the parentage of Ruth Stimpson and Howard Rivers Jerry, Jr. She came into the world as a bundle of joy and love and left this earth in the same way—loved and at peace.

Pat lived in Dallas, Texas, and attended school there until she was 13 years old. In 1960, she moved to Plano, Texas, with her maternal grandparents, Millie and Eddie Stimpson, Sr., where she attended Plano schools and enjoyed playing tennis. Patricia married Willie Leon Neal, and two daughters were born to this union. Pat was always filled with determination and a passion to succeed. She began working at Texas Instruments in 1964 and worked her way up through various departments—from the assembly line to procurement. She was a valued and beloved employee at Texas Instruments for 38 years until her retirement in 2002. After retirement, Patricia volunteered throughout the Plano community and forged many lasting relationships. Pat was raised in the church and joined Northeast Bible Church in November 2015.

Pat will be remembered for her kindness, joyful spirit, sense of style, and her ability to find a bargain. She loved to shop, spend time with her family, and travel. Pat never met a stranger—her infectious smile and loving spirit led her to strike up conversations with just about anyone who crossed her path. She was generous, sometimes to a fault, but that never stopped her from giving of herself and her time.

On Sunday, April 27, 2025, Patricia Neal entered the gates of Heaven after a year-long battle. She fought a good fight, but God mercifully eased her pain and called her home while she was surrounded by family.

She leaves behind to cherish and celebrate her life: daughter Victoria Neal (son Caleb); daughter Shelli Neal (son Solomon); son Vincent Neal (wife Wanda, daughter Valecia Ruiz, son Jordan Ruiz); siblings Juanita Jackson, Leta Palmer (Earnest), Brenda Brooks (Wilson), Betty Grant (Jimmy), Bobby Davis (Tamara), Marjean Johnson, Thelma Harris; and a multitude of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Rivers Jerry, Jr.; her mother, Ruth Stimpson Polk; her stepfather, Dewey Polk; and her brothers, Leroy Davis and Harold Davis.

Though she no longer walks this earth, her strength, unwavering faith, and legacy of love and light will continue to shine through her children and grandchildren.
