Patrick Hardin Obituary

Patrick Lee Hardin, affectionately known as “Pat” and by his rap name O.G. Pat Pat, was born on September 4, 1982, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He departed this life on May 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, rhythm, and resilience.

He was the beloved son of Faye Etta Hardin, who preceded him in death and remained the love of his life. Her strength, compassion, and unwavering love shaped the man he became.

Patrick attended Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas, and later earned his GED, reflecting his determination to keep moving forward no matter the obstacles.

Patrick was a man who lived boldly, loved freely, and moved through life with rhythm and soul. He was effortlessly witty, with a sharp sense of humor that brought laughter wherever he went. His chill demeanor made people feel at ease—he had a gift for creating calm in the chaos.

He lived with fierce purpose, standing firm in what he believed and showing up fully for the people he loved. Unfiltered and unapologetically real, he spoke the truth as he saw it—sometimes with a smile, sometimes through rhyme. Rap was his language, his outlet, his passion—a way he expressed the depth of his thoughts and the fire in his spirit.

At heart, he was whimsical—a free spirit who found joy in the moment, danced to his own beat, and never let life box him in. He was a blend of boldness and light, grit and grace.

Those who knew him saw the deep respect he had for God. He believed in Jesus, and despite life’s hardships, he never lost sight of that truth. His heart knew loyalty, his soul knew love, and his life pointed toward grace.

His voice, his vibe, and his spirit will echo forever in the hearts of those who knew him.

Patrick was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Etta Hardin; his grandfather, Roy Lee Hardin, Sr.; his uncle, Whittaker Jarvis Hardin; and Temassia Rooks, the mother of his oldest son.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved sons, Trenton Hardin and Aiden Hardin, both of Dallas, Texas; his brother, Carvanty Hardin; his sisters, Cupie Slayton (Michael) and Katasha Baldwin (Rickey), both of Dallas, Texas; and his grandmother, Ollie Mae Hardin, also of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by a loving host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Forever bold, always real, deeply loved
