Pearlean Dudley Radcliff was born August 7, 1942, in Vredenburgh, Alabama, to Mary and Miles Dudley. Surrounded by her loving family, she transitioned to eternity on June 24, 2021.
Pearlean accepted Christ at an early age. She graduated valedictorian from Monroe County Training School in Beatrice, Alabama, now known as J. F. Shields High School. She went on to attend Wayne County Community College in Detroit, Michigan, studying Bookkeeping and Accounting. She started her career as a Directory Assistance Operator with GTE (Verizon) in 1971. After 30+ years of excellent service in the telecommunications industry, she retired from numerous management roles. She was a true leader and a sheer example of professionalism.
She married the love of her life, Zack D. Radcliff. From their union, a beautiful child was born - Llewelyn Katrice Radcliff.
Affectionally regarded as “Pearl” and “Lucy”, she helped everyone within her reach by offering a hand up instead of a handout. Her generosity was unprecedented. She provided a loving and safe home to several foster children. She initiated and played an integral role in establishing the recurring class reunions that brought excitement and celebration back to Beatrice.
Pearlean was the most effective self-made financial planner. As a result, she managed her long-term success and directed other financial decisions of her siblings. You just never knew when she would grab your hand and leave you a financial blessing.
A woman of class, elegance, and grace, she was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Euless, Texas under the bold and enthusiastic leadership of Pastor Sean Taylor. Additionally, she was an active member of the W.A.G. (Wisdom and Grace) Ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Miles Dudley; brothers - Cleveland Bell (Delores Bell), Raymond Dudley, David Dudley, and Wallace C. Longmire (Shirley Longmire); and sister, Armelia Dudley.
Pearlean leaves a legacy of enduring love and precious memories to her husband, Zack Radcliff of Southlake, Texas; daughter, Llewellyn Katrice Johnson (Bruce) of Southlake, Texas; brother, William Dudley of Chandler, Arizona; grandchildren - Nicole and Briana Johnson, both of Southlake, Texas; great-niece, Whitney Goolsby of Arlington, Texas; and a host of relatives and friends.
