Phillip Lloyd Obituary

Phillip Patrick Lloyd was born on March 6, 1958, to Patrick Lloyd and Ionie Albertha (Lawrence) Lloyd in Peters Hill, Clarendon, Jamaica. He transitioned to eternity on December 7, 2022, in Plano, Texas.

Upon graduating high school, Phillip attended Kean University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science in 2003 and a Master of Public Administration degree in 2008. As a graduate student, he served as President of the Graduate Student Government Association. Phillip enjoyed a career with the Ministry of Housing, as a life insurance salesman for ALICO, as an Emergency Medical Technician, as a store manager at Rite Aid, and as a store manager at BJs. He also worked for the New Jersey Transit and New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. After many years of service, he retired in 2018.

Affectionately regarded as "Audley", Phillip delighted in Tennis, Cricket, and Jeopardy. He also appreciated music and church.

On December 2, 2018, Phillip married Veronica Hutton. He accepted Christ and remained faithful to God's church. He was a member of North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship where he participated in the Men's Group.

Phillip will be fondly remembered for his funny, confident, friendly, loyal, devoted, and strong-willed nature. His loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Ionie Lloyd; and siblings: Carmen Lloyd, Herman Lloyd, Millicent Lloyd, and Lucille Lloyd.

Those left to cherish memories include his wife, Veronica Lloyd; sons, Corey Patrick Lloyd and Brandon Blaine Lloyd; former spouse and mother of his children, Gloria Lloyd; grandchildren, Chase Patrick Lloyd and Emma-Luna Jade Lloyd; siblings: Shirley Lloyd, Ervin Lloyd, Alex Lloyd, and Valerie Brown; nieces and nephews: Sophia, Kim, Yvette, Lancelot, Andre, Marvin, Rohan,  and Ainsworth; dear friend, Johnny; Bible study buddies; and a host of other relatives and friends.
