Prince Albert Woolwine was born on December 4, 1951, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to Thaddeus Woolwine and Mattie Geneva (Murphy) Woolwine. He passed away on May 20, 2023, in Garland, Texas.
In 1969, Prince graduated from Science Hill High School and went on to pursue his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a minor in Physics. He attended the University of Tennessee and graduated from East Tennessee State University (ETSU) in 1973. In August of the same year, Prince married the love of his life, Sandra Earnest. The two joined in holy matrimony and remained united until his passing. He was a loving father and intelligent, spiritual man who was committed to Religious Science, as well as charities like the SPCA, Humane Society, Shriners, and Plan International Organization-Children's Charity.
Prince had a long career in the field of engineering. He worked in the telecom industry for Sprint as a senior engineer; Sogeti, as a senior project manager; Spok as a senior project manager; Capgemini North America as a senior consultant; and FEMA-US Department of Homeland Security as a supervisor. He also worked as a Supervisor to EMS agents.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thaddeus A. Woolwine and Mattie Geneva (Murphy) Woolwine; son, Adrian Michael Woolwine; sisters, Joy C. (Woolwine) Atwater and Virginia E. "Jenny" Woolwine; brothers, Thaddeus Woolwine, Jr. and Eugene Woolwine; niece, Jennifer Traci Atwater and her children – Brandon, Sergio, Joseph, and Jazzmene (due to a house fire); and a special father-in-law, Elmer Earnest.
Those left to cherish precious memories include his wife, Sandra E. Woolwine; son, Jonathan Woolwine (Araceli); granddaughters - Kaleigh Woolwine, Makalah Woolwine-Horta (Luis), Tenaia Woolwine, and Bridgette Woolwine; great-grandchildren - Messiah and Tiberius Tarter, Amara Luttrell, and Adrian Maria Horta; step-grandchildren - Andrew, Jacqui, Hailey, and Nathan; beloved mother-in-law, Amelia Rhyans Earnest; sisters-in-law, Alma E. Lew and Angela Earnest; special uncle, George Bumbray; nephews, Tyler and Paul Lew and Jorden Atwater; special daughter-in-heart, Rosa Woolwine, granddaughter-in-heart, Isabel Guajardo, and son-in-heart, Neo Hernandez; special son-in-heart (and Adrian's best friend), John Jackson and his family; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
