Reginald Gray Obituary

Reginald  (Reggie) Levelle Gray was born on May 14, 1957, in Memphis, TN to Matthew L. Gray and Ernestine Boyd. He passed away peacefully on September 23, 2023.

Reggie was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. Shortly after graduating high school, Reggie enlisted with the Air Force in October 1976 and was honorably discharged in October 1980. After completing a career with the U.S. Air Force Reserve, Reggie shifted his focus to developing a Tech field career.

During his retirement years, Reggie enjoyed fishing, practicing his aim at the gun range, and watching the Dallas Cowboys fail to make it to the Super Bowl every year. He still found interest in his love for airplanes, helping people, and protecting and serving citizens. Although retired he continued a career in the security field, protecting people of all kind. Reggie was strong, funny, stubborn, determined and loved by all who came in touch with him. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and found peace in waking early on Saturday mornings to fish.

His brother Michael L. Gray, Father Matthew L. Gray and Mother Ernestine Boyd were of those closest that preceded him in death. Among those who are left to cherish his memories are his sons, Marcus and Courtney Gray; his daughter, Whitney Gray; granddaughters, Makayla Gray and Kensley Cousin; along with cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends.
