Rhonda Morgan Obituary

Rhonda Joyce (Robinson) Morgan was born on October 29, 1955, in Lubbock, Texas, to Charles Lee "CL" Robinson and Johnnie Mae (Jackson) Robinson. She transitioned to eternity with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 5, 2022.

Rhonda graduated from Estacado High School in Lubbock, Texas, in 1974. She began a successful career in human resources for Texas Instruments (TI) in Lubbock, Texas, where her exceptional people skills and ability to recruit the right people in the right positions led the company to transfer her to a larger market in Dallas. Her winning personality to help others succeed made her an invaluable asset until she retired in 1998.

After retirement, Rhonda embarked on another career at JCPenney. She had incredible fashion and style. She began as a seasonal employee and within a few months became the Store Consultant for all things fashion! In her final career, Rhonda stepped out on faith and launched her own business, Morgan Builders Services. Her reputation as a businesswoman was impeccable and highly sought after among Dallas area custom luxury builders. She was respected for her extraordinary attention to quality and detail, and she always added her “Signature Touch”.

Rhonda leveraged her business as a platform to reflect God’s love and build life-long, authentic relationships. She met people on their level and where they were - literally, in grocery stores, on walking trails, or in malls. She employed and opened doors for many people. She loved her employees and cared about their families and oh, how they loved and adored her!

Rhonda accepted the Lord and was baptized at a young age. She joined North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship and served faithfully until her transition. Rhonda was a prayer warrior! She especially enjoyed praying for others at Wednesday night prayer meetings. She would stop and pray for anyone who needed it, anywhere and anytime. She was not ashamed of her faith which she shared freely. Often times, you could find her leading out with her favorite song, "This Little Light of Mine."

Rhonda married the love her life, Harold Morgan, on June 27, 1981. Together, they were blessed with four children - Andre, Megan, Andrante “Triece”, and Dustin. Harold and Rhonda were inseparable. She was quick to share how long they had been married - in her words, “40 years and dated eight years before that.” They were soul mates and knew how to challenge and bring out the best in each other. Together, they enjoyed traveling, remodeling their homes, spending time with friends and family, and being involved in every aspect of the lives of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Rhonda was affectionately known as "Grandma Rhonda", "Nana", and "Grammy." She adopted her friends’ children as godchildren, and they loved her as "Mama Rhonda" and "Aunt Rhonda".  She had a special relationship with each of her grandchildren and godchildren and always encouraged them with these words, “You can do ANYTHING you put your mind to!” and “It’s not over until God says it’s over!”

Rhonda kept her light shining brightly in health and in sickness, which remains a remarkable inspiration to her family, friends, and all who crossed her path. She was steadfast in her concern for others and unwavering in her faith.

Rhonda enjoyed a sister-friend circle who she loved passionately. Her sister-friend circle spanned across a lifetime of paths and friendships. Her heart was big enough for all her sister-friends, and she treated each one as a best friend.

Among many hobbies, Rhonda loved shopping, fashion, interior design, working out, and dancing. She was amazingly talented and gifted! She was the life of the party and often kept everyone laughing with her humorous antics and impressions. She was deeply loved by her family and friends.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Lee "CL" and Johnnie Mae (Jackson) Robinson; parents-in-law, Selvin and Dorothy Morgan; sister, Sandra Rogers; sister-in-law, Carol Ann White; and beloved son, André Morgan. Those left to cherish sweet memories and continue Rhonda’s legacy of love and service include the love of her life, Harold Morgan; daughters, Megan Morgan and Andrante Etheridge (Bobby); son, Dustin Carr (Kendra); daughter-in-love, Lisa Bentley; grandchildren - Jaylan, Noah, Patrieka (Shrelle), BJ (Becca), Andrew (Tressa), Shomon (Justin), Travanis, Kaylia, Morgan, Madison, Kylie, Kenzie, Kennedi, and Marcus; eight great-grandchildren; special niece (like a daughter), Romona Stewart; sisters - Debra Robinson, Gwendolyn Walker (Eddie), Marsha Forge, and Vernessa Robinson; brothers, Daniel Hall and LV Hall; and host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives, and beloved friends.
