Richard Eberius Obituary

Richard Thomas Eberius was born on September 26, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri. He passed away on February 1, 2023, in Dallas, Texas.

Richard graduated from Bishop DuBourg High School in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1969. He went on to attend Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, where he met the love of his life, Becky, whom he married on August 11, 1973, soon after graduation. The two remained united in holy matrimony until her transition in May of 2022.

Affectionately regarded as “Rick”, Richard enjoyed a longtime career at Kemper Insurance. After over 40 years of dedication and service, he retired in 2005.

Among many hobbies, Richard enjoyed trains in his younger years, softball, and watching the local news. He will be fondly remembered for his friendly, sociable, kind, and loyal nature. His good sense of humor and genuine spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rebecca "Becky" Eberius; parents, Richard and Dolores Eberius; and sisters, Judy and Barbara.

Those left to cherish sweet memories include his daughters, Laura Histed (Jarvis) and Suzanne Eberius; grandchildren - Skyla, Cody, Caleb, Cayden, Corbin, Charlotte, and Jonathan "JP"; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
