Rick Dean Mesey

Rick Mesey, a loving father and grandfather, passed away on Sunday, December 13th, 2020 at the age of 65.

Rick was born on June 11, 1955 in Galesburg, Illinois and spent his childhood in St. Louis, Missouri. He met his first wife and started his family back in Illinois. In 1983, he moved to Dallas, Texas to complete a technical degree. He found work there and decided to settle down.

He raised his three children, Christian Mesey, Ian Mesey, and Melinda Mesey in Garland, Texas.

Throughout his life, Rick was many things, but most of all he was a builder and a tinkerer. He had the ability to fix or improve almost anything and was often found in his garage repairing vehicles, building computers, or refurbishing furniture. When not in the garage, he was either in the kitchen or out on the lake. He loved to cook and was known for his chili and homemade bread. His most lasting legacy may prove to be his dry sense of humor, which he passed down to all three children.

Rick was preceded in death by his second wife, Nancy; his mother, Joyce; and his sister, Elaine. He is survived by his three children and seven grandchildren; his brother, Joseph; his first wife and mother of his children, Debra; and his third wife, Dolly.
