Robert Lee Combs

Robert Lee Combs was born on September 1, 1946, in Longview, Texas to the parentage of the late Bennie Strong and Percy V. Combs. He was called to his eternal home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 30, 2024. 

Robert received his formal education in Longview Public Schools and accepted Christ at an early age.

He enjoyed music, fishing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with family. He will be fondly remembered as a father figure to many, a determined hard worker, a provider, an inspirational mentor, and a supporter. 

Those left to cherish lasting memories include his wife, Brenda Combs; his children - Calvin Jones, Shirley Miller, Robert Earl Combs, Donald Jones, Rodney Combs, and Ryan Combs; his siblings, Mary-Alice Strange and Percy Combs; his brother-in-law, John McKenzie; twelve grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
