Rodrick Woolfolk Obituary

My journey began on April 19th in Macon, GA, where I was born to the late Bobby Woolfolk and Deborah Gayle Walker Beck (Benjamin Beck). My loving grandparents were Lonnie & Josey Mae Walker, along with Roosevelt and Addie Kate (nee Rivers) Woolfolk. As the first of four siblings, I share my life with two brothers—Quintarius Beck and the late Javaris Beck—and a sister, Destine Thomas (Reggie Thomas), and Uncle Derrick Walker (Sofette Walker).

I feel blessed to have married Bianca Woolfolk, the love of my life, with whom I have three wonderful children: Jayden (15), Jordyn (12), and Bryson (7). My upbringing in Macon, GA, shaped me immensely, and I attended Southwest High School, where I proudly served as the drum major of the band and played the saxophone. After graduating, I pursued my passion for art and design, earning a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I met Bianca.

For 21 years, I had the privilege of working in my dream career as a Graphic Designer and Web Developer. I started Rod & Staff Creative Design in 2007, building and designing websites. My favorite projects revolved around branding and advertising, and I was particularly grateful for the opportunities to collaborate with various non-profit organizations and ministries.

One of the highlights of my career was working with my dear friend, Kowacie Reeves, with Hype South. Through my collaboration with Kowacie Reeves, my marketing and branding efforts helped catapult Hypesouth Media & Athletics into one of the top independent media platforms in the Southeast and are directly responsible for helping student-athletes in Georgia earn over $2.5 million in scholarships to date.

Notable student-athletes who gained visibility and notoriety through Hypesouth’s platform include Kowacie Reeves, Jr. (Georgia Tech), Tye Fagan (University of Georgia), Devin Butts (Mississippi State), Khavon Moore (Texas Tech), Jada Clowers (Alabama A&M), and Gabbi Cartagena (University of New Orleans), to name a few.

My spiritual journey began in childhood at the Unionville Missionary Baptist Church in Macon. I was a member at the Hope Church of Orlando for 16 years and served as a Deacon under Bishop Allen Wiggins and First Lady Deborah Wiggins. I took pride in co-leading the Couples Ministry. In 2022, I became a member of New Life Community Church under the guidance of Senior Pastor James Hutchins.

As a devoted family man, I cherished my roles as a father and husband. Music and art were my passions; I loved creating music with friends and family. Moreover, I enjoyed sports, podcasting, and lively debates with my friends.

I leave behind my beloved wife, Bianca; our sons, Jayden and Bryson; our daughter, Jordyn; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. My life was enriched by close friends and cousins who felt like brothers and sisters, including Kirk Henriquez, Zavior, Travis, Wayne Perry, Champ (Anthony Patterson), Kowacie Reeves, and Sheree Williams, among many others. Kirk, I’m looking forward to giving you another “rib shot” when we meet again.

I want to express my gratitude to Mark Terry (TKO Orlando) for giving me my first career opportunity, to Cushman and Wakefield for their compassion and support during my health challenges, and to New Life Community Church for standing by my family and me during this difficult time.

I love you all. This is not goodbye; it's just see you later until we meet again!
