Rosetta Valencia Natembeya Simbi, 42, of Garland, Texas died at about 12:20 AM on Thursday 16 January 2020. She was fatally hit by multiple motor vehicles on I-24 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Rosetta was born on November 19, 1977, in St. Paul, Minnesota. At the elementary level of education, she attended schools in Grambling, Louisiana, and Duluth and Roseville, Minnesota. She proceeded to middle school and later graduated from Central High School in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1995. After that, Rosetta briefly attended college at Valdosta State University in Georgia. She later trained and worked as a medical assistant, and most recently worked at Walgreen’s Pharmacy in Garland. She volunteered and participated in bible study activities at First Baptist Church of Garland.
Rosetta is survived by her five children: Anthony Simbi, Alamin Simbi, Amir Washington, Akim Simbi, and Aiden Simbi; parents, Peter Simbi and Assumpta Kintu; brothers: Paul Simbi, Tony Simbi, Vincent Tsebeni Simbi, Fred Simbi, and Ben Simbi; sisters: Scholastica Simbi, Susan Simbi, and Georgiana Mukite Simbi; uncles: Emmanuel Kintu, Sr., George Musundi, Charles Buyuni, and Shad Namahande of Uganda; and aunties: Kevina Nanyiri, Teresa Lusike, Topista Nalwanana, and Beatrice Nabulya also of Uganda; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Rosetta raised her children as a single parent and did her best. She will be greatly missed. May God bless her, and may she rest in peace.
