Obituary

Shari Jeniece Hill was born on November 15, 1975, in Terrell, Texas. Surrounded by her loving family, she transitioned to eternity on June 14, 2021, in Rowlett, Texas.

Shari graduated from Wylie High School in Wylie, Texas. She went on to attend Trinity Valley Community College. She enjoyed a career in music and photography.

Affectionately regarded as "Shi", “Red”, and "Shari J", Shari had many interests which included her love of music that led her to sing with Dallas-Fort Worth’s 90’s girl group, ADT, from Waco, Texas. This opportunity opened the door to her career in songwriting and music production both locally and internationally.

A woman of talent and compassion, she also delighted in singing in the choir, photography, and spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Tommy L. Brown.

Shari will be fondly remembered for her kind, caring, and loving nature. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, George and Georgia Hill, and her maternal grandparents, Emmit and Margaret Ford.

Those left to cherish precious memories include her parents, James and Bobbie Hill; sister, Patricia Session (Kyron); heartfelt adopted daughter, Jewel Cortez; grandson, Riccardo Cortez; aunts and uncles - Hattie Orr (Freddie), Vickie Huckaby (Greg), Margaret Rigsby, Emma Gipson, Fannie Howard, Josephine McCray, Darlene Ford, and Mattie Richardson; nephews - Samuel Session, Kameron Session, and Trentin Traore; nieces, BrieOsha Jordan and Brooke Session; longtime friends - Erika McDade, Tina Williams, and Alecia Brown Washington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
