Shirley Louise (Harding) Cedello was born on March 11, 1932, to Clarence and Louise Harding in Galesburg, Illinois. She transitioned to eternity on July 5, 2022, in Garland, Texas.
Shirley received her primary education from Knox County Schools, Galesburg, Illinois. After relocating to Dallas, Texas, Shirley enjoyed a longtime career at Richardson Independent School District until her retirement after 24 years of service.
Shirley married the love of her life, Sam Cedello, on October 22, 1988. The couple remained united in holy matrimony for more than 30 years until his transition.
Among many hobbies, Shirley was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She also delighted in collecting beanie babies and salt and pepper shakers. Shirley will be fondly remembered for her stern, bossy, opinionated, dedicated, and loving nature. Her kind spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Cedello; parents, Clarence and Louis Harding; and children - Billy Damitz, Diane Freeman, Mary Crouch, and Robert Johnson.
Those left to cherish precious memories include her children - Debra Johnson, Rodney Johnson, and David Jarrett; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Kenny Harding (Chris) and Sharon Skeen; best friend, Joyce Livingston; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
