A Time to be Born
Stephanie Renee Wallace was born on October 3, 1960, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Stephanie was the third of six siblings born to the late Maxine Emery Landry and Alfred Emery. Stephanie attended Miramonte Elementary in Los Angeles, California. She attended Hosler Jr. High and Lynwood High in Lynwood, California, graduating in 1978.
Stephanie received Christ at an early age under the leadership of her great uncle, the late Rev. Ike Stephenson. She later moved to Fontana and united with Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. David S. Johnson.
A Time to Live
Stephanie’s career began alongside her mother with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services. She later moved on to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department as an Administrative Clerk. She was there for several years until raising her children and taking care of her family became the main focus in her life.
Stephanie met and married Robert Lee Wallace in February 1988. To this beautiful union, two children were born - Breauna Renee Wilson (husband Andrell) and Brandon Phillip Wallace. Stephanie also gained four adult children - Robert Jr. (Laura), Cindy (Marvin), Kendrick (La Kisha), and Tanya.
A Life Well Lived
Those left to cherish precious memories include her siblings - Reba, Deno, Eric (Claire), Monica (Darrius), and Darren (Chamour); a special godsister and brother, Gail Alexander (Charles) and Sonny Emery; three grandchildren - Jordan, Austin, and Nia; aunts - Curly B., Evelyn, and Doris; uncles - Rafus, Willie George, and James; two brothers-in-law, Tommy Lee and Ben (Cornelius); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Stephanie was affectionally known as “Maw Maw” by her grandchildren and “Aunnie” by her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all.
