Stephanie Heather Young, born on July 20, 1956, at Florence Nightingale Hospital in Dallas, Texas, passed away on May 20, 2024, in Garland, Texas.
Throughout her life, Stephanie worked hard through various challenges. She spent much of her early adulthood and mid-life bartending and in management in the food service industry. Later, she earned her GED and transitioned into becoming an insurance adjuster, where she excelled as a major disaster adjuster at State Farm. She showed great courage and was a huge inspiration to her son.
Stephanie was a devoted caretaker throughout her life. She raised her son, Anthony, while also navigating the challenges of caring for her infant daughter Heather, who sadly passed away after heart surgery in Philadelphia. Stephanie's strength and perseverance during these difficult times were remarkable.
She continued her role as a caretaker by supporting her sister, Alison. After her sister's health began to decline, Stephanie dutifully took on the burden of being her caretaker until Alison passed away in 2023. She did everything she could for her sister when nobody else could, and it was a thankless job. She did it anyway. She also helped her son's father a bit when he was in the hospital while her son, Anthony, was trying to finish closing on his home. Stephanie also provided support to Anthony during his career transition and helped him financially as he bought his first home. In short, she helped everyone around her.
Stephanie will be remembered as a reliable and supportive person who always put others before herself. Her absence is deeply felt by those who knew her, and her legacy of kindness and generosity lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
Stephanie is survived by her son, Anthony, and her memories will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
