Stephannie Leann Smith

Stephannie Leann Smith, 36, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, in Dallas, Texas. She was born to Leonard Matthews and Brenda Paxton on March 4, 1985, in Fort Worth, Texas. 

As a single mother, she worked hard to provide and protect her children and create a wonderful life for them. And she did just that! She was also an amazing daughter, sister, aunt, and friend! She loved her family more than anything in this world. She will be sincerely missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.

Stephannie was preceded in death by her father, Leonard. She leaves behind her four amazing children who she loved and adored: Hayden, Haylie, Zachary, and Samuel; mother, Brenda Paxton; brother, Joseph Matthews; sister-in-law, Beatriz; and nephew, Silas Matthews. Stephannie will forever be in our hearts, and we will continue to cherish wonderful memories.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Children's Ministry of Lavon Drive Baptist Church in Stephannie's honor.
