Steven Samuels, Sr. Obituary

Steven Dwayne Samuels, Sr. was born on March 3, 1966, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Theodore Samuels and Ruby Jean Ford. He transitioned to eternity on April 8, 2022, in Dallas, Texas.

Steven graduated from Millwood High School in 1984. Affectionately known as "Daddy" because his son is a Jr. and it got confusing in the household - so he was known to everyone as "Daddy", Steven enjoyed many hobbies. He especially loved coaching basketball to both girls/boys. His earlier years as Head Coach of Red River Elite, a girls team, then moved over to boys with Jr.

Steven will be remembered for his funny, athletic, caring, and hardworking. His loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Jean (Ford) Samuels who affectionately regarded as "Gamas", grandmother, Ernestine Ford, and aunt, Joanne "Aunt Cotton" Samuels. Those left to cherish precious memories include his wife, MaHanna Samuels; children, Chenell Leigh Samuels and Steven D'Marcus Samuels; grandchildren - Alaysia Greer, Ma'Liyah Greer, and Ka'Niyah Greer; sibling - Marcus Ford, Gary Ford, Antjuan Samuels, Crystal Samuels, and Mike Johnson; father, Theodore Samuels; aunts, Beverly Samuels and Debbie Samuels; and a host of other relatives and friends.
