Steven B. Thorpe was born on April 9, 1948, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He passed on January 10, 2023, in Dallas, Texas.
Steve was a highly respected lawyer in Dallas for over 45 years. He specialized in employment law and dedicated his practice to representing employees’ rights against discrimination and advocating for fairness in the workplace. In his free time, Steve liked playing or watching golf.
Affectionately regarded as "Poppy", Steve enjoyed time with his wife, daughter, and six grandchildren. He also loved having his cat Max in his lap, and dog Ralph by his side.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Marion Thorpe, and father, William Thorpe. Those left to enjoy their memories of Steve include wife, Beverly Thorpe; sister - Emily Lewis; daughter - Beth Ann Stalnaker; son-in-law Jon Paul Stalnaker; grandchildren - Bailey and Josh Siguenza, Zoe and Austin O'Reilly, Skye and Randy Clever, Izabelle Holloway, Nicholas Stalnaker, and Kingston Stalnaker; great-grandson - Noble Clever; nephews - William Lewis and Andrew Lewis and long term law partner Carla Hatcher.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Second Chance (SPCA).
