Theodous Munyeen (Johnson) Mickles was born on April 27, 1949, to Henry Holland Johnson and Thelia Elam Johnson in Yazoo City, Mississippi. She transitioned to eternity on January 17, 2024, in Dallas, Texas.
Theodous graduated from N. D. Taylor High School in 1967. She went on to enjoy a longtime career at Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. After 30 years of dedicated service, she retired in 1990.
Affectionately regarded as "Baby Sister" and "Sam", Theodous accepted Christ and remained faithful to the body of Christ throughout her life and was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. She delighted in sharing the love of Christ through serving as a community volunteer in various charity initiatives.
Among many hobbies, Theodous enjoyed knitting, sewing, and traveling. She will be fondly remembered for her selfless, nurturing, innovative, and intellectual nature. Her passionate spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thelia Elam Johnson and Henry Holland Johnson; her sisters, Dorthy Mitchell and Delorse Johnson; and her brothers, Osbourne Johnson and Robert Soul.
Those left to cherish lasting memories include her daughter, Angela Karren Johnson; her granddaughter, Taylor Renee Johnson Carter; her grandson, Quincy Alexander Johnson Carter; her sisters, Mae L. Johnson and Bettie Sue White; her brothers, William Henry Johnson and Willie James Johnson; and a host of family and friends.
