Tonya Thress Hill Roy was born on August 1, 1968, in Waco, Texas. She transitioned to eternity on September 20, 2020, in Dallas, Texas.
Tonya graduated from South Oak Cliff High School and went on to enjoy a career in the pharmacy industry. She was employed at CVS Caremark as a clinical trainer at the time of her transition.
Tonya met the love of her life, Michael Roy, in September of 1990. The two married on May 10, 1996, and nurtured and loved three children. They remained united in holy matrimony until her transition.
Among many hobbies and interests, Tonya enjoyed football, movies, dancing, and music. She served as Team Mom for her children's football teams. She also delighted in cooking, decorating, and board games. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
A member of The Potter's House, Tonya was also a supporter of Garland PeeWee Football and a member of Naaman Forest Varsity Booster Club.
Affectionately regarded as "Punkin", Tonya will be fondly remembered for her fun-loving, caring, protective, candid, and honest nature. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish precious memories include her husband of 24 years, Michael Roy; daughter, Brittany Harris; son, Julian Roy; son, Myles Roy; granddaughter, Sanaria Harris; granddaughter, Miyah Edwards; granddaughter, Kylee Dunlap; mother, Mamie Hill; father, Alonzo Hill; mother-in-law, Hattie Roy; father-in-law, Curtis Roy; brother, Roderick Hill; brother, Kevin Davis; sister-in-law, Stephanie Traylor (Gabriel); brother-in-law, Cory Roy (Yovana); and a host of other relatives and friends.
