Tracy Wayne Brown was born on November 25, 1960, in Marks, Mississippi, to the loving parents Charles Brown Sr. and Grace Brown. He confessed hope in Jesus Christ at a young age at Greenhill Missionary Baptist Church, where his journey of faith first began. Even in his youth, Tracy’s life was marked by warmth, strength, and a deep love for God.
A proud graduate of Quitman County High School in 1978, Tracy went on to attend Mississippi Valley State University on a band scholarship. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, paving the way for a successful career rooted in dedication, leadership, and service.
Over the span of more than 25 years, Tracy built a respected career in the automotive industry, working as a finance manager. He was most recently employed at Richardson Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Texas. Known for his professionalism, magnetic personality, and warm spirit, he touched countless lives and made lasting impressions wherever he worked.
On June 14, 2013, Tracy married Marsha Godbolt Brown in Dallas, Texas. Their union was a testament to faith, commitment, and true partnership. Out of that union came their daughter, Brionna Brown, a beautiful reflection of their bond. Together, they built a life full of laughter, devotion, and cherished memories.
As Tracy’s journey took him from Mississippi to Texas, so too did his spiritual walk. He became a faithful member of North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship, and later, Amity Bible Church, where he continued to grow in his faith and serve his community with love and humility. His relationship with God remained the cornerstone of his life.
Tracy was a man who lived fully and joyfully. He had a deep passion for golf—more than a hobby, it was a source of peace and connection for him. He also loved playing basketball, working out, biking, traveling, and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, always rooting for his team with enthusiasm. Tracy found peace in landscaping, turning his yard into a beautiful sanctuary year-round. He enjoyed good food, a wide range of music from classical to gospel to jazz, and above all, he loved reading the Word of God, which remained his compass in life.
Tracy will be remembered as generous, friendly, kind, loving, and humorous—a man whose laughter, wisdom, and unwavering faith left an unforgettable mark on everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Brown Sr.; brother, Marvin Brown; and nephew, Marvin Jr. Brown.
He leaves behind a lasting legacy through his wife, Marsha Godbolt Brown, and his children: Brionna Brown, Tangela Brown, Tracy Jr., Cindy Brown, Paula Brown, and Terrence "TJ" Brown. He is also survived by his devoted mother, Grace Brown; siblings Charles Brown, Carolyn Hill, and Debbie Brown; grandchildren Sean Brown and Chasity Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Though Tracy is no longer with us in body, his love, his laughter, and his unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
