Tyriq Andreas Lamont Fields in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 14, 1998. He transitioned on February 7, 2025, in McKinney, Texas.
Tyriq graduated from Plano East Senior High School in 2015. He went on to pursue a degree in Business & Marketing at Collin Community College. Tyriq earned a certification as an Emergency Medical Technician. He also served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 2020. He enjoyed a career as a manufacturing engineer at Texas Instruments.
Affectionately known as "Ty", "Riq", "Riqy", and "Tyriqy", he was "Tyriqybear" to his sister, Brianna, and his aunt, Alva, and he was "Son" to his devoted parents.
Tyriq's top interests were his cars and his family. He loved any time spent with friends and family. He enjoyed playing video games with his friends, attending car meet-ups and drag races, and working on his vehicles with his Uncle Jamie and Pops, James. Tyriq liked to read books about car restoration, rebuilding transmissions and motors, business and marketing, and black history. He loved to eat and was far from being a picky eater. After becoming EMT-certified, Tyriq planned to eventually become a volunteer firefighter and work as a behavioral health technician. He had so many dreams that could not be fulfilled in his short lifetime.
Tyriq believed in God and remained inquisitive about his faith throughout life. He was a great mentor to younger children, taking on a "big brother" role for his cousin, Keandre. A man with the biggest heart, he was charismatic, loving, caring, goofy, intuitive, charming, and energetic. He was intelligent, always learning and pursuing different things. Tyriq was a chameleon when it came to style; he knew how to wear a suit. He never met a stranger; he would walk up to anyone and start a conversation. He used the gym more to socialize than to work out. He loved to give compliments. Tyriq knew how to be serious concerning his career and education, but he was the life of the party when it was time to have fun. His laugh was one of the best and most unique laughs. He was funny too, especially when he got with his sister, Brianna; they could spin the jokes off of each other with great delight. When he laughed, you laughed. He lived authentically and made those around him so proud to know him. His presence brought joy to anyone around him, his smile was infectious, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Latifah Karim. Those left to cherish precious memories include his parents, Makesa Roberson and James Roberson, who he lovingly called "Pops"; his father, Ebenezer Bean; his grandparents, Izetta Corbbrey and Arthur Boyd; his siblings, Brianna Robinson, Arianna Jackson, Nikki White, and Ebenezer Bean, Jr.; his puppy, Ginger; and a host of other relatives and friends.
